If you are roaming or you are in such area where internet connectivity speed is slow, you might feel sometimes you are speed just something near to Zero. It happens as your windows update is turned on by default and it consumes huge bandwidth when it silently downloads Windows Update.
You can easily turn it off (Windows Auto Update) to save bandwidth.
Pictorial:
Go to My Computer icon on desktop or start menu, right click and select Properties, A window appears.
In that window, look just bottom-left corner and you will find “Windows Update”, click on that.
Now look Top Left in the new window for “Change Settings” – Click That.
Now from first drop down in the middle, select “Never Check for Updates (Not Recommended)”
Now Press OK and close, you are done!
* You can also select “Check for Updates but let me choose whether to download and install them”. In this case windows update will check for update files but will not download automatically unless you permit.
